Is it Hard to Become a Virtual Assistant?

Hi! We have a fascinating topic here. So now, let's start with the beginning of my journey towards being a successful Virtual Assistant. At first, I often asked myself, "Is it hard to become a Virtual Assistant?". Have you also ever asked that question?

Before, I had never considered becoming a Virtual Assistant, as I am not so good with technology. Well, that is one of the reasons many people hesitate to become one. But I tell you, you only think it's hard when you don't have an idea of how to do it yet. As I have read a quote by Wayne Gretzky, it said, "You Miss 100% Of The Shots You Don't Take." So I told myself, "Am I completely giving up the idea of becoming a Virtual Assistant?" If yes, then I missed 100% of the chance. But who wants to lose without fighting? No one. And so I told myself that I should try this whole new thing out.

I will share what I did so you won't have to face so much hardship with your journey. That's funny but true.

Watch Videos and Read Articles About how to Become a Virtual Assistant

First, watch online videos or blogs about people explaining how to become a Virtual Assistant. You can watch videos from YouTube such as 'Surge Freelancing Marketplace'. Understand what a Virtual Assistant really is and know their different niches.

Choose Your Niche as a Virtual Assistant

Niche? What is that? Now, now, don't be discouraged. That's the second thing you need to discover, by yourself. As every individual differs from another, all virtual assistants have different niches or specializations. Now, think about where you are good at. Are you good with Accounting? Translation? Administrative Tasks? Customer Service? Digital Arts? Executive Tasks? Content Creation? or many other things, surely you'll find one or two that you are good at.

Enroll in a Virtual Assistant Course

Third, if you still don't get how being a Virtual Assistant works, enroll in a course. In my case, that's what I did as I did not know yet what I was good at, of course now I do. If you are considering enrolling in a course, you can check out 'Surge Marketplace'. Interestingly, they offer a wide variety of courses to choose from. So choose depending on your niche. You can check out my portfolios for references.

Send Applications and Start your Journey as a Virtual Assistant

After you have done your research, know your niches, and finished the course you have enrolled in, consider whether you would like to work as a freelancer and find your own clients. Or work for a company. I can tell you the difference next time. That's the fourth thing you need to consider.

The last and most important thing you need to do is to start moving and send applications to your potential clients. Please do your best in your interview and show your employer that you are ready and have all it takes to be a wonderful Virtual Assistant.

That's all for our blog. I hope this helps. I wish you all the best and may you bloom with success!
